Visitation restrictions
Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
Additional visitation guidelines
To give you and those we care for the best possible experience while at our hospital, please adhere to our policies.
Alcohol, drug and smoking protocols
Alcohol, e-cigarettes, illegal drugs, tobacco and vapes of any kind are not allowed inside buildings or within 50 feet of any entrance.
Disability protocols
If you have a disability, you are covered under The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. These acts grant you the right to bring a support person with you to the hospital.
Emergency room (ER) protocols
In our emergency department:
- Two visitors are allowed to accompany a patient in the waiting room and ER after being screened. Challenging social situations can be reviewed at the supervisor's direction.
- Visitors must fill out an information slip.
- You may be asked to wait in your vehicle until space permits if treatment areas are at capacity.
ICU protocols
In our ICU:
- We permit visitation 24/7 but reserve the right to restrict visitation if necessary to maintain a safe and healing environment.
- Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Noise protocols
Quiet time is encouraged throughout the hospital from 8:00pm to 8:00am and 1:00pm to 3:00pm, as it's important for health and recovery.
As a visitor, you are encouraged to respect these quiet times. During quiet time, we ask for dim lights, hushed voices and silent cell phones. We also keep visitors to a minimum to assure as little noise as possible.
Weapon protocols
We prohibit the following weapons:
- Chemical sprays, including pepper spray
- Conducted energy weapons (CEWs)
- Electronic weapons

If our security team identifies a weapon, they will take it into safekeeping and release it back to the owner upon discharge.
